Mortuaries tend to focus on getting the body ready for burial or cremation. Funeral homes tend to provide more services, such as preparing the obituary, providing grief counseling, etc.
Hospice is a type of health care that focuses on a terminally ill patient’s pain and symptoms and attending to their emotional and spiritual needs at the end of life. There are quite a few hospice care services in the DFW metropolitan area.
